This Sweet and Sour Prawns/Shrimp may look fancy and difficult to cook but in fact, it's really easy to prepare. Sweet & Sour Prawns 酸甜虾球
Serves 4 - 6 pax
350g (12.35oz) prawns/shrimp (deshelled & deveined)
0.5 teaspoon salt
A few dashes white pepper
1 egg white
3 tablespoons cornflour
Some cornflour (to coat the seasoned prawns/shrimp)
1 bell pepper (cut into chunks) (you can use any colour)
0.5 yellow onion (cut into chunks)
4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce (optional)
0.5 cup (125ml/4.2 fl oz) water
2 teaspoons sugar (can increase slightly if you like it sweeter)
0.5 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white vinegar (can increase to 2 tablespoons if you like it more sourish)
Some cornstarch solution
1/2 cucumber (cut into chunks)
