Old Fashioned Pumpkin Butter

In a large, deep pot set over medium heat, combine the pumpkin puree, apple juice, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, salt, and cloves. Bring to a low simmer and cook, stirring frequently, for 30 to 45 minutes or until thickened to your desired consistency. A fall season favorite, delicious any time of the year!

It’s always been a bit of a mystery why pumpkin pie is only made once a year, but this amazing “Old Fashioned Pumpkin Butter” would be perfect for enjoying something very similar, and possibly superior, when pumpkin pie is out of season. Enjoy!
